Guys,
I have type 3C diabetes, diagnosed about 2 years ago after pancreattis, and left undiagnosed for 18 months despite the known medical symptoms to doctors etc.
No matter, I now inject inject twice a day and have a Libre Freestyle CGM and IOS app to mintor throughout the year.

I also have severe hearing loss, and have 2 digital hearing aids, linked through Bluetooth to my iPhone.
This used to work totally well, and alerts me to low glucose levels and high glucose levels, although the hypo's are of course more important.
So I have a couple of questions for experiences from other here, and possibly suggestions towards solutions?

Firstly, the Libre app setup can test the alert sounds, which I do regularly, and they come through to my hearing aids when work during the day.
However, any subsequent hypo alert (less than 4.0) only comes out on the iPhone, and not the hearing aids?
This seems to have changed at some point, whether by IOS upgrade or app problem.
Anybody else getting this?
I'm keen for alerts not to sound when I'm in the middle of a quiet pieace at the theatre or similar!

Secondly, does anybody have any advice as to how I can hear any alerts - typically around 0300-0600 in the middle of the night of course - when I'm without my hearing aids (they're recharging)? My wife is linked to the app and so with her perfect hearing can get these and wake me up. But it's unfair on her, and not so good for me either?
Are there any devices, tricks or tips that others in my situation can share, please, to allow me to be alerted when any alarm goes off on my iPhone?
Phone in a tin-can might do it! :)

Many thanks in advance!

I have profound hearing loss and can’t get any sound from alerts to come through via my hearing aids at all.

Good Morning

I also have profound hearing loss. My hearing aids connect blue tooth to my phone so I get alerts from Libre, I get phone calls and can adjust my hearing aids using my phone. No issues. My Audiologist set this up for me When I got my hearing aids . I have Phonak hearing aids. Could your audiologist help you with this ?

Like you you when my hearing aids on charge I struggle to hear the alerts. I make sure my phone is on a hard surface and is set to vibrate as well as sound. I went through the range of alert sounds to find one that I could hear.

Hope this is of some help

That’s how mine work. Sound goes through my hearing aids Straight into my ears - phone calls, music etc. Theyre amazing . They’re danalogic and NHS. They were set up for me by the NHS audiologist and prior to my being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (very late in life for me as I’m 76). Maybe that’s the problem - they were already set up before setting up the libra.
