Interesting. Am back on Gliclazide and test as required. However my doctors practice says they don't believe in prick testing (cropped up when they changed meds disastrously) and will maintain no record of tests. I save my results on Contour Plus app and wonder if that is sufficient. NHS will not fund testing so how would DVLA get accurate info about testing. Could I lose my licence because of a useless surgery?
No idea if DVLA require testing on Gliclazide, when I was on that I didn't let them know, now I'm just on insulin I did have to inform them and they specify a meter that has a memory of a certain number of tests and even though I have Libre now I still have to have my meter on me when I drive. I don't think the app would be enough if you input the data manually?

Yes, Gliclazide can cause hypos and therefore it is a requirement to test before you drive, and to carry your meter with you.

Yes I do the same. I test before I drive and take jelly babies in the car. The DVLA wrote back saying ok to drive as long as I test prior to driving.

I'm a HGV Driver and yes you need to inform DVLA. I have to test no more than 2 hours before I start driving then every 2 hours whilst at work..
