i was just wondering if anyone else has had this 'quirky issue'? on the whole my BG's are within limits and my last test showed that i wasn't far off remission! after over 20years as a T2! even the nurse was surprised .However my last prescription of Gliclazide which wasn't from the usual suppliers, appear to be ineffective and my Bg's gone up. this has happened before but put that down to a blip! so basically, just wondered if anyone else has had this 'Quirky' issue? My last blood test showed everything (apart from my diabetes of course} were ok.

I reversed my Type 2
Treatment type
Diet only
I only had a small time on Gliclazide, but I was given it on the basis that it would reduce blood glucose. It was only much later that I realised that it mainly pushes your Pancreas to produce more insulin. Not that helpful; I was also at the time diagnosed as type 1 - which of course should have meant that I was no longer able to.. I can't really fathom why I was prescribed Gliclazide.. I think the idea was to wring out every last bit of my Pancreas while we could...

You must be doing something right to be holding close to remission though!!
