Glidipion

Messages

I have been taking Meformin for the last 4 years (500mg) tired going to 1000mg, and end up with an upset stomach.
My HbA1c levl - IFCC standardised 62 mmol and I have been prescribed Glidipion. I have read the side effects and am scared to take them. Does anyone have any experience of taking this?

Hello,

Have you tried SR Metformin? I've read on here that a lot of users have had improvement with upset stomachs and nausea when switching to that form of medication.

The side effects do look pretty daunting for Glidipion, but I I'm yet to read a drug leaflet that hasn't scared me senseless...

Have you experimented with exercise and diets? A lot of forum users have great BG management success on LCHF or simply limiting their carb intake to a moderate level. It may, or may not, be something you are aware of - but there is a wealth of information in that subsection of the forum. Diet and exercise are not the only answers to BG management, but it's agreed that both play an essential role in lowering A1c in ALL forms of diabetes:

Hopefully someone with experience of Glidipion will be able to help you with your query soon.

Good luck,
Grant
