@maxjoe121 , did you mean gliclazide or glimepiride? Those are both medications called sulphonylureas. They make you produce more insulin to help your bg come down.
Yes, while 4.5 is a wonderfully healthy number, it's also close to hypo level, and this medication can cause hypos.
So what I would do if I were you is keep something sugary and your meter on hand in case you drop lower.
Test again if you feel funny just to make sure, and maybe test again anyway in a while to see what happens.
The good news is that the medication seems to work well for you, if perhaps a bit too well. Might be worth looking into the dosage with your diabetes nurse.
