Toss a coin. It depends on your gp's views on T2 distribution. I've only had the 6 monthly tests and I am T1.

- Whelks,winkles... All crustaceous seafood except prawns. Can't do crab.lobster or scallops.
Don't like the way they are killed and cooked. Save our Scallops. SOS !!!
Also HATE evaporated milk.
The first meter I ordered was a Glucomen LX plus and it is my favourite so far. The lancer works well. Better than all the others.
I was so sure I wouldn't get a prescription for the strips and lancets I went ahead and bought some strips from E Bay for £17 for 50 (£27 in the chemist cos I checked) And these lancets for £7 odd. (plus £1.99 postage)

There are quite a few which start at .99p.
You could ring your practice and see if they give out scripts. When I saw me diabetic nurse I was very surprised to get the strips and lancets. Although 50 is all I get in a month. And I was told to test once a day ay varying times so that she gets a better idea of what's going on.
