Hi: I've just bought a glucose monitor (Abbots) and have worn it for a week, to make sure results were stable). My HBA1C is 6.7. I'm cutting back on carbs and exercising daily, however, with a 6.7 reading should I be visiting doctor? Thanks
Have you been diagnosed with prediabetes with an hba1c test by your doctor?Hi: I've just bought a glucose monitor (Abbots) and have worn it for a week, to make sure results were stable). Yes, I was told I was prediabetic a few years ago with reading (if I remember correctly) between 42 - 48 and then I got it down into normal range and haven't been tested for about 4 or 5 years. I got the monitor as I was trying a specific diet and saw it is now 6.7 (50) - I don't really want to go back to the doctors and wondered if the 6.7 is really so bad.Have you been diagnosed with prediabetes with an hba1c test by your doctor?
