thank you bluetit and john
i was beginning to despair that the level wouldn,t get so low

You are doing great ally
When I first started testing I was in the 11 to 13 range and without the meter I probably still would be
Keep up the good work.

thank you kimbo
i did test 2 hours later and was 13.5 but still going down

Well that's not too bad. The rise from before to after was 2.9, so not at all bad as long as it came down again. Well done.

i had my tea, with strawberries afterwards, i was a pig and ate the whole punnet, 2 hours afterwards, i tested 18

What was your main course? 18 is a bit higher than you know you're looking for, but we've all had the odd slip up. There's something to be learned there.

Hi Ally. I just replied in another thread. You'll notice I mention one hour there. Is two hours your peak?

What was on the menu at lunch?

Keep going Ally! :) Might want to ditch the strawbs though! ;)

Try reducing the strawberries. Just have 4 or 5 smallish to medium ones as a maximum and cut them up so it looks more in your bowl, and have them with yogurt or cream.

beef stew and peas, strawberries
Next time you make that recipe consider changing the thickener you use and the root veges, if any. Did you have bread or rice with it?

Without wanting to bombard you with information......

Did you use Bisto, or flour to thicken the gravy in your stew, or were there potatoes in it? It would be disappointing if the culprit were the strawberries, but they are probably easier to limit or give up, just by virtue of their seasonality.

The learning curve is steep at this point Ally, but you'll get there, I'm sure of it.
