[QUOTE="Jessielouiseb, post: 2067003, member: 506426"] So next Friday and Saturday I’m going to spend some time with family who I havnt seen in a while...apparently they have arrange for a meal out at Frankie and bennys...we are going to the Harry Potter studio tour which includes a hot meal...and a butterbeer which is probs full of sugar...and then I think we’re going out for meals the next day...and I’m having anxiety about it. My bloods sugars have been perfectly normal over the last 6.5 weeks, I was diagnosed in March and have lost 2 stone since diagnosis. I don’t go low carb, I probs eat between 130-200 grams of carbs per day, spread out the day of course...and I ususally stick to whole grains. I’m nervous of how my blood sugars are gonna act....I can’t say no I don’t wanna go out, I can’t not eat anything.....would it matter if I had the one or two high blood sugar readings? My blood sugar usually goes down pretty quick...and it’s would only be 2 days max, I know I’d be back on it with my normal diet after....am I likely to damage my organs or body?...I’m going to try and make the best decisions I can, but I also need to not panic and fear every time I go out for family gatherings.
