Going on holiday??? What do you prefer meter or non meter?

Hi there,

For those who are planning a nice trip abroad what would your preference be for checking blood glucose.

a) To use a meter
b) To use a non-meter strip

Perhaps you could briefly explain your decisions as well? Curious to find out whether people prefer to be more discreet with a small strip or to take the whole chibang with meter etc,,,

If I was planning on eating out a lot of the time and maybe having the odd glass of vino/beer/shorts then a bg meter with finger pricker would be the only answer for me as I would want to have the best readings possible so as to be sure not to overdo it.

Although to be honest I have no idea what 'a non-meter strip' is :?
 
I'd take the meter, but keep non-meter strips a home for use about once or twice a week, to save the more costly ones
