Hi all,
as a keen golfer who is also type 1, I find that if my blood sugar drops during a round of golf my play becomes erratic. To this end, I tend to snack my way round the golf course and over the four hours can ingest between 3 and 6 bananas, alternated between with snack bars, tracker, Go bars and the like and tend to hold my blood between 5 and 6 whilst playing. I seem to be 'honeymooning' at present so loading up on carbs before I start or reducing my insulin (currently around 2 units of Novorapid for 60 grams of carbs.) doesn't tend to work.
What I'd like is a bit more variety in my snacks and am looking for something with around ten to 15 grams of carbs that is easily eaten between the green and the next tee or whilst walking between shots.
many thanks, Peter.
