No, I don't think it's a good idea. I think it puts our bodies under too much strain when they are already fighting a virus or bacteria or whatever. I think we should instead be concentrating on eating nutritious healthy food to give our immune systems a boost to fight the infection.I do hope so.
Thank you for support. Do you think dieting is a good idea at times of lergy hits? I think I've run myself down too much.
I sometimes wonder whether the medical profession actually know what they are doing, or whether they just treat us all like guineapigs to see what will happen! I hope the tramadol works for you William. Hugs xxGood Afternoon Folks,
Have seen my GP today - he has instructed me to 'Wean' myself off the Liquid Morphine over the next 14 days. He has prescribed 50mg Tramadol I can take up to 6 of these a day. The Pregabalin has been increased to 200mg and I take these 3 a day.
Told him felt detached from the 'Human Race' and again forgot to take Insulin (that 3days out of past 8 days). I am attempting to be more mobile and doing things even though it takes twice as long and fighting the urge to go and lay down during the day as I just fall asleep and 3 - 4 hours have gone. He has made another appointment for 14th December to assess the situation/pain. Great said R we can go shopping tomorrow = Ha, Ha, Ha - I would rather starve!!!
That's the update. Hope you have all enjoyed the day. And hugs being sent to other poorly members.William x
Looks delicious - what is it?That is very kind of you RonBut, as I have not eaten much last week or 2 (been off my food) - R bought me this........... And I cannot 'share' because it was a present! (You cannot share presents )View attachment 21219
Your dinner sounds like my idea of heaven!!!Just had a quarter duck with pancakes and veg smoothered with hoisen sauce. I didn't have to share as they had pizzas.
Christmas decs are going up tomorrow. I'll be supervising. Advent calendars start tomorrow too.
Have extras to buy on tuesday. Tinsel needs renewing and have my eye on 2 half price calender box ornaments
I love Christmas. Kids will be excited more once presents start piling up under the tree. (I'd best get wrapping).

Brilliant news .Hi everyone, I'm in a good mood - I got my HbA1c results yesterday and I got 43! Smug grin
43 is excellent. Well done Barbara. Im not really surprised as whatever you take your hand to lately is a huge success. Go girl!Hi everyone, I'm in a good mood - I got my HbA1c results yesterday and I got 43! Smug grin
I'm with you on that one . Ron's been told that the meds he is on are wrong . The new meds will be started in a couple of weeks time but first has to be weaned off his current ones . He can't get in to see gp so he's going to start his own weaning programme at weekend . He's also just told me he's going to reduce the metformin from 3 to 2 as well. If last night was anything to go by he won't be going no where this weekend .I sometimes wonder whether the medical profession actually know what they are doing, or whether they just treat us all like guineapigs to see what will happen! I hope the tramadol works for you William. Hugs xx

That's me had my 1st Stelara Injection this morning for helping ease my Psoriasis and ?Psoriatic Arthritis (still waiting for confirmation from the Rheumatologist that's what I have got?).
Next Injection due in 4 weeks time and then that will be the 'loading dose' and then Injections every 12 weeks. Should start to notice 'changes' within next 3 - 4 months, maybe sooner as I took this Biological Drug 5 years ago. Fingers crossed.
Great news William fingers and toes crossed for youGood Afternoon Folks.
