Type 2 Good days bad days

Hi there. I was diagnosed two months ago with T2. Taking Metformin twice a day. Does everyone have bad days when they feel really I'll? Sometimes I feel so awful I can nearly more. Pain, shocking wind and feel ill. Most other days feel ok.

are you on the SR or XR slow release? the normal can cause more problems, you may need to see the DR
also carbs can make it worse, are you LC?

On the standard Metformin. New to this so still discover what I can eat carb wise.

Hi I feel exactly the same as you yesterday I felt ill,could of slept all day,numerous loo trips headache it just would not shift my first day of feeling like this on Metformin it makes me not want to take it I am on 1 a day slow release hopefully it will pass and my body will adjust.

The more carbs you eat the more metformin affects you with wind. I can't eat wheat and take metformin. Best thing to do is to low carb.

HI and welcome. Yes, do ask to be swapped to Metformin SR (Slow Release) which is much kinder to the bowels
