We had a lovely day yesterday, walking in the wood up near York with some friends who have taken a cabin for the week. Wonderful. They can sit in their hot tub on the decking in the evening and watch the badgers come and eat peanut butter sandwiches. We had five yesterday evening, Boris, Bently, Bill, Belinda and Barry (after my dad). Eat your heart out BBC Autumn Watch! Oh we saw a mouse too, which excited the children more than the badgers Hahaha
 

Cabin, woods, Halloween..your asking for trouble!
 
Lurgies out in earnest this morning! But still smiling.
Had a lovely visit from my mum yesterday which made all the difference. A girl will always need her mum to bounce off. I just wish she didnt run when she is needed. She always has.
I'm hoping i can be very hands on for my grandkids and hope I'm blessed with many. I'll spend my old age helping them. Some supervising as they get older won't need much so I must look after my eyes, for my future happiness and mobility. I'm determined to do whatever it takes.
I know we knock nhs advice sometimes but they all prefer us to be able bodied and independant.
 
Morning all, I slept in this morning so I have a bit of a headache but luckily I don't have anything planned for today. Hope everyone has a good day xx

Another cold and soggy morning in the West Country today - yuk!
I have TT No 1 for the day today as it's half term - we're going mushroom picking this morning and will be making Scotch eggs and low-carb chocolate brownies this afternoon. She's well up for it!

Morning all, it's rather misty and spooky looking at the moment - looking a lot like Halloween is round the corner! A used to love trick or treating when he was younger but now he's far too mature and sophisticated His most effective costume was Darth Vader when he was a lanky teenager, he used to look in pub windows and scare the living daylights out of the patrons!
 
Morning. Suppose to have taken little one and myself for flu sniff sniff/jab but no car and very very difficult to get little one on own with crutch on bus safely. Too skint for a taxi. Postponed. A family affair just for a quick appointment. Nar not today. Woke on fbg 3.9 after nuts from toddler, bless him.
Too tired to make egg breakfast. I'll be waiting all day for someone else to make any. Very tired today, lousy cold.
 
I feel for you, Vicky. It's tough when everyone else expects you to look after them at the best of times, let alone when you're not feeling well yourself. Wish I lived closer and could give you a hand... Big hugs x
