Good Morning

What a morning! And afternoon! Home now after a day in cardiac care unit. Awaiting a scan/ct angiogram. Palpatations, breathlessness and heavy chest.

Please tell me the breathlessness goes away? I've had palpatations for months but gp said he doesn't know why. I thought thyroid playing up but had the angina spray which helped but didn't stop the breathlessness. Scan will hopefully show us what's going on.

Are you OK now Vicky? You must have had a bad scare, what are the hospital saying?

Good morning everyone. It's frosty here in Central Scotland. Got back from the Borders last night after scoffing my way through our 5 day break. It's frightening how easily I fell off the lchf wagon. It all started with a bar of Cadburys Caramel .....drool! It will take at least a week to get the BGs back down and I have a horrible cold and just want to stuff my face. Right! Moan over.
Hope everyone has a good day today and feels well. Be Strong

Morning all, hope everyone wraps up warm - it's coooold down here! Welcome back @13lizanne, we missed you. Sending hugs to everyone who needs it, especially @ickihun @eldergarth @tina_marie and @ellagy. I could do with a hug too, my younger brother has just found out he's at risk of becoming diabetic too. He had a health check up not long ago and the doctor said he needs to make some lifestyle changes.

Thanks Barbara I can give you hug back but only gentle one

More investigations up coming. Given an angina spray and asprin for heaviness in chest. Heart attack was ruled out. Discharged but still having breathing restriction when not resting. Palpatations been going on for months and dizziness too.

Hugs galore Barbara! Would your brother consider low carb?

I am looking into weightloss surgery too, please keep us informed.

I increased my Insulin by 2 units over a week ago (now on 46 units a day) and there has been only a very slight improvement on blood sugars. My fear is putting on additional weight, when I have to shed another stone and get down to 12 stone - so the Professionals keep telling me. I have tried fasting from when I get up until 1.30 - 2pm everyday for over a week now. My partner says I need to eat, as I am moody, irritating and snappy at the slightest thing.
So today have decreased my Insulin to 44 units a day. But, I really think it was the switch from 'bog' Standard Metformin to the SR version of Metformin almost a month ago that is responsible for my erratic blood sugars. My weight has stayed the same for the past 9 weeks at exactly 13 stone.

I would think that the 'Professional' should accept that not everyone is a machine! It would seem that your body has decided you should be 13st....So listen to your partner and step back from the grumpy ol' person you are about to become
