I am looking into weightloss surgery too, please keep us informed. What a morning! GP ruled out spondolitis, I felt like kissing him. He seems to think insulin is adding my weight. I agree. Well its not helping, that's for sure.
I guess I do need bariatric surgery, after all. It cannot make matters any worse. I'm slowly dropping protein but no weight loss. Nothing helps me lose weight. I'll keep an eye on weight but I'm not prepared to risk damage for weight loss. (Stopping insulin, to lose weight). My best mate is nearly blind. She's slim but cannot see much.
I would think that the 'Professional' should accept that not everyone is a machine! It would seem that your body has decided you should be 13st....So listen to your partner and step back from the grumpy ol' person you are about to becomeI increased my Insulin by 2 units over a week ago (now on 46 units a day) and there has been only a very slight improvement on blood sugars. My fear is putting on additional weight, when I have to shed another stone and get down to 12 stone - so the Professionals keep telling me. I have tried fasting from when I get up until 1.30 - 2pm everyday for over a week now. My partner says I need to eat, as I am moody, irritating and snappy at the slightest thing.
So today have decreased my Insulin to 44 units a day. But, I really think it was the switch from 'bog' Standard Metformin to the SR version of Metformin almost a month ago that is responsible for my erratic blood sugars. My weight has stayed the same for the past 9 weeks at exactly 13 stone.
Will do kittylitter.I am looking into weightloss surgery too, please keep us informed.
