GP records?

Hi, I used to be very over weight and have now lost 7.5 stone (over 100lbs). When heavy I had undiagnosed sleep apnea and consumed lots of sports and energy drinks to stay awake. My sugars spiked and I was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic. I do not take medication. My sugars have been consistently low since I have lost weight and taken exercise (4.5 - 5.1) In fact other than the week when diagnosed as being high they never been higher than 5-6, which given my size was to be expected. My GP informs me that I will always be classed as diabetic. I would like my records to say otherwise as I have worked hard to reverse the situation. Is there any way that a GP can reclassify me or will I always have to say I am diabetic? If anyone has successfully changed their medical status I would be keen to hear from them. Thank you ;0)

Your doc. is right, you might have beat it for now, but it is still there waiting to come back.

Try drinking a couple of sugary fizzy cans and test after 2 hours, if your BG is over 6 or 7 your are still T2.

Fantastic weight loss, I lost a lot of weight as well, some has gone back on but not to bad.
