Haven't the foggiest who suggested the book Grain Brain by Dr Pearlmutter. It is packed with info and by about page 8 l had decided hub was gluten intolerant it and it explained all his problems. I went back to the start of the book part way through and got him to listen to the talk part of kindle and he was also interested. He is now on a gluten free diet and has started to low carb with me. I know in the book he discussed diabetes and low carb high fat and lot of other things we do.
Hub isnt hungry between meals and in fact isnt hungry at meal times, and all the problems he had, being always cold more energy loosing weight stomach has improved, no bloating and no wind.
Some like not hungry is the low carb high fat but the rest seems to chime in with the books suggestion of gluten intolerant. He tested negative in 2012 for diabetes, pancreatic cancer (72 hr fasting passed) having hypos not coeliac they decided he just didn't always digest food sometimes. Having him pass the coeliac l never thought about intolerant to gluten it was just to lateral.
So l suggest you take the time to read Grain Brain by Dr Pearlmutter. I will be going gluten free just want to finish the box of crackerbread l have then l am also on the wagon. Pretty certain it will help the diabetes and certain it will help protect against things like alzheimers in later life.
Anyone else any comments on this book... and who suggested it from here! Our thanks to them.

Has he had B12 and folate checked? Digestive problems can go hand in hand with inability to absorb some vitamin Bs, particularly B12. Going grain free usually helps though!
