Anyone out there have graves disease alongside their type 1. Had discussion today with my endo about iodine treatment for my graves. Has anyone got an experience of this ? Not sure how I feel just now.
Thanks in anticipation

I got Graves at the end of 2020 (to add to my T1 and coeliac)
They put me on an 18 month course of carbimozole and it calmed down and then then said 18-month course ended and within a few months it was back to misbehaving - I did get the conversation of surgery or the iodine treatment to get rid of my thyroid, but was luckily also given the choice of another attempt at the 18-month course of carbimozole (cos i didn't like the other choices either), which brought it down again and luckily since them its been in remission (fingers crossed),. but I do still get regular checks for it

If it misbehaves again then I may have no choice except to get said thyroid destroyed (or at least incapacitated)

I presume you've already tried the tablets and it hasn't been successful?

I had a similar journey as @Rokaab but with a longer interval between both times of needing Carbimazole, although the Consultant wasn't keen to give me Carbimazole again, pushing me to have the iodine or surgery instead. As underactive thyroid runs in our family I managed to persuade him to let me try the Carbimazole again and it worked. I can't remember the exact dates, but roll on a few years, and I'm now on Thyroxine for underactive thyroid.
