Hello!

Right for lunch i am having chicken and vegetables but well it's a bit dry....so was wondering is gravy okay?!

It depends if you thicken it with flour or not. That's supposing you make it yourself. Otherwise, it should say on the packet how many carbs in it.

Powdered or granules is made of starch and sugar but you won't necessarily have much of it. So just don't be too generous with it.

I count it.

I use Bisto granules. There are a surprising number of carbs in it so I don't have much. It tells you on the container. It also depends on what sort of water you use to mix it and whether you add the fat from the meat. My mum always made gravy using the water the potatoes had been boiled in - and boy was it good! Can't do that now as potato water contains all the starchy carbs. Adding the fat from the meat helps slow down any absorption so is good.
