Hi again all! Back from Curacao now, so watch out.
The Curacao CAS (Carbs Alcohol and Snorkeling) diet stood up well. Did just four +2 hour BGs after very carby meals and got 3.6, 3.1, 3.9 and 4.9!! The 4.9 was after a huge plate of breadcrumbed and battered fish and chicken.
Did a couple of fasting BGs in case it was catching up later, and got 5.1 and 4.6!! I’m normally high 5’s low 6’s. Must go back there.......
Took a couple of fish shots I thought you might like. Most were taken just 20 metres from the hotel beach, which was 1 metre from my room. In fact, here’s me sat on my little patio outside my room.

Here's me on an overcrowded Curacao beach:-

And here's me and Mrs Grazer after a hard snorkel. Note the sensible factor 50 rash vest.:-

HMM, maxed out on 3 pics. I'll send a couple of those fish shots on another post!
Cheers now!

So, the further post. By the way, I continue to be amazed by the Americans eating habits. I had lots for breakfast, but on separate plates as separate courses. They just pile it all on at once, as if they’re worried it might be gone if they have to go back. I kid you not, they would have fresh fruit (pineapple, papaya etc) nestling against eggs, bacon and a sausage, alongside pancakes with maple syrup and blueberry jam, adorned with cold ham and cheese, with cakes and muffins wherever they would fit. Sometimes there’d be a “special” for any locals, like beef stew or chillied mince, so they’d splurge a ladle of that on top to finish it off. They might as well have a separate table for the Americans where they take the entire buffet contents and whack them into a giant blender, then serve the results into enormous bowls they can drink from. Talking of which, a highlight for me was sitting next to an American family. The son, about 4 or 5 years old, had a bowl of cornflakes with about a pint of milk in one of the Marriot’s big square cereal bowls. He started to pick the bowl up to drink the cereal and milk from it. Mum shouted “NO!”, and I thought was going to tell him to use his spoon. Instead, she told him to turn it round a bit and drink from a corner so it wouldn’t spill! And they say they don’t teach manners nowadays.
Anyway, those fish pics:-

And my favourite:-...

Yay!! found a turtle and got to swim with it for a while!
Cheers now, nice to be back - I think?

I don't know. It would brighten up a dull day 8)

Enough of this Mankini and Thong stuff - it was bad enough taking my fleece off to go snorkeling! It gets very heavy when it's wet.

Welcome back Grazer. You've been missed.

Sounds like you had a great time and the photos are really good.

Excellent BG readings too considering what you have been eating

Maybe I need a holiday to improve my readings

Welcome back Grazer

Good to read that you had a wonderful holiday, kept your numbers in check and somehow you & Mrs look younger than before you went away WOW
Thanks for the pics
All the best to you & family x

I didn't want to say anything in case anyone got jealous but he sent me this by PM earlier today:

Not sure if I should be flattered or offended.

I think he needs to get his shirt off more often to lose that nasty tan line on his neck.
