Blood Glucose & Excercise.
As a Diabetic Type 11 for over 30 years (I am 81 years now) my BG level has varied between 8 - 12 mmol, depending on my diet.

About 14 months ago, I started going to the Public Swimming Pool for Hydro Therapy Exercises for 90-120 minutes, 5 days a week. I cannot swim.
That helped to bring my BG level to 7-8 mmol.

But the magic happened when a friend of mine suggested the Green Tea.
Now I use 4 Green Tea sachets + half to one inch of Chopped Fresh Ginger + half a teaspoon of Turmeric powder in one liter of boiling water. Drunk two cups during the daytime and one before bedtime.

The Fasting BG dropped to between 5,6-7 mmol quite rapidly.
Now if I enjoy an Ice cream or a half bar of Milk Chocolate but only during the daytime, still the BG level days is below 7,5 mmol.

Since this is non-medical but natural consumption, you might try but prefer medical advice, to be on the safe side.

really interested in this. Curious about a couple of things. Did you stop drinking anything else and replace it with this? e.g. coffee. Turmeric has known anti-inflammatory effects. You can amplify the effects of turmeric by adding ground black pepper. You can dampen / eliminate the effects by taking coffee at the same time.

I drink cappuccino mainly and am about start experimenting with different drinks and also the effects of coffee and milk individually

Coffee is a stimulant, so it will trigger adrenaline (epinephrine). Tea is also a stimulant, but it seems green tea is one form that is not. Green tea is also associated with diabetes control like turmeric. There seems to be no formal studies on this and it remains in the folk law section of the diabetes toolbox. I think it works for some, but not others, so results tend to be inconclusive.

Green Tea Diced Fresh Ginger + tea spoon of Turmeric. Drops Blood Sugar!
I do 90 minutes of Hydro Therapy Exercises, 5 days a week, in the Public Swimming Pool.
Actually my daily diet consists of a Breakfast of Poached egg with ham or bacon and toast, with a cup of teal May have a banana. Lunch is usually rice with seafood curry with lentils and spinach. Washed down with either a beer or a glass of Red Wine. Afternoon tea with toast and jam or marmalade. Dinner consists of steak with mashed or fried potato and a glass of Red Wine. Before popping to bed, a large mug of Green Tea Diced Fresh Ginger + tea spoon of Turmeric. Blood Sugar is between 5,6 -7,5 depending if I eat Ice Cream , Chocolates or Dates.

If ate these types of meals my BG would be in the high teens! Just goes to show us T2s are all different and can tolerate different levels of carbohydrates :D

I did not stop drinking anything after I took the Green Tea Ginger Turmeric. I hardly drink coffee. My morning drink is Ceylon Tea.

The term "big boned" lol repeatedly told this growing up!
I drink green tea with jasmine or ginger and it drops my sugar levels. It also suppresses my appetite in between meals. I haven't been drinking it much this last month which for me would explain why my numbers have slightly increased.
