Green tea

It's just that.....tea!!!

It supposedly has many health benefits from lowering cholesterol and blood pressure to improving mental function, if you Google green tea you'll find plenty to keep you reading.

I've drank it for years now, I find it really refreshing but always buy a good quality brand as some of the supermarket brands are like dish-water, Holland & Barrett is a good place to buy green tea and often has offers on.

You need to research it yourself John and draw your own conclusions, green tea can only be beneficial if you follow a healthy diet and lifestyle, no one food item is a solution to all ills.

The use of green tea is currently on the increase partly due to new research studies which are providing convincing evidence about its antioxidant abilities, general health benefits and more interestingly, its weight loss effects.

How many cups a day are beneficial? Im really interested in this now. Its amazing how from this site (im newly diagnosed type 1) you can learn ao much

I drink green tea most days, at least 2 -3 cups. I follow quite a strict diet and training plan but I'd definitely say that since drinking the green tea's it's improved things for me, helps speed metabolism up and I've no spots anymore yeey

Just been converted to green tea and am quite fond of it now after just a few days. I am trying a low carb diet to help speed up my weight loss and am delighted to have found this but was wondering about drinking it as I have T2... seems all's well! :D

Does this include fruit and herb teas like peppermint or chamomile?
Not really (if Ive understood you're question correctly).
In Morocco they go crazy for mint tea.
One with benefits if you can't stomach the green stuff is QI white tea with acai.
The missus is on this at the moment and I've sneaked a few bags.

Ah what's it like I've seen it but never tried although I'd like to (white tea) I mean! I currently drink like 10 cups of varioused flavoured green tea a day, I love it, and not only because of the saved carbs from the milk in normal tes :)
