Hi All

Female diagnosed with Type 1 at aged 19, (17 years ago), and I still haven't got the hang of it. I'm also desperately wanting my first child before too late, but I'm pretty sure my body won't cooperate at present!

Lantus(Glargine) and Novorapid

Already have some complications - I just don't understand why I can't do it! Haven't given up trying though. I know that relatively small changes will make a huge difference to my life.

( Also still smoking cigarettes)

Hi ss_type1 and welcome to the forum.
I hope you find the help you want here.
Can I ask what you mean by not having the hang of it yet? How are your blood sugar levels, HbA1c, insulin doses?

All the best,

fergus

hya and welcome,

HI...i read your post and I feel the same way as you are. Im 26yrs old though and was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 21. I understand by what you mean by `not having the hang of it yet?' I tell that to myself sometime. Eventhough I know the complications are there but still, complying to it was somewhat difficult for me. I don't know if you feel the same way too.

But I hope you will find a way to finally get the hang of it cause I am trying too...very hard. :)

Cheers, mayleesa
