GRUMPY GRAZER!!

We could have a whip round and find a nice vet to put the poor old sheep out of his misery...

The good thing about diabetic lamb is that you don't have to use much mint sauce to make it sweet.

Just sayin'.
Just make sure I'm not slaughtered the Halal way. I'd rather be killed in the English fashion - kicked to death outside a pub at 2 in the morning!

Might you have had an infection of some sort - a cold or something - before your HbA1c? That could push it up.

I think you're doing really well, and the only thing that I'd suggest (and I would, wouldn't I? ) is that you could still drop your carbs a bit. How often do you have your HbA1c done? mine is every 3 months. Maybe not change your diet just yet (miserable weather always makes me eat more carbs), push them to do an HbA1c again in March, and if that's still too high for your liking, drop your carbs a bit in the better weather.

If it's any consolation, my last one was 6.0, up from 5.2. All my doctor could say was "but 6 is really good!" Ha!. But I know what happened - 2 weeks on steroids, one week on 1 antibiotic, then 2 weeks on 2 antibiotics, a tooth abcess, the tooth out - what did I expect?

Don't let it get you down, Grazer - everything else was great, so maybe the lab was having 2 off days on the HbA1c? Get another test towards the end of March, and then enjoy Easter

And stop eating the feed they put out for your ewes - it's full of carbs as well as protein
