Guardian 4 sensor

Hello,
I have had 3 Guardian 4 sensors one after another ceasing to exist less than 7 days. Sure, they will send you a replacement free of charge BUT that is not the solution. Probably my next '' box '' of sensors will be with the Instinct sensor.
If i experience any problems in the future i wanna connect to a television program which deals with '' consumer issues ''
Greetings, Edward

I can relate. I had my share of issues with G4 too. And, it wasn’t my fault. I switched to Instinct sensors several months ago and though there have been a couple of transition issues, ALL of them have lasted the full projected time period. Overall, they are much better than G4.

Hello,
GOOD to know my future will be brighter going to Instinct. Strange that usually the industry and the medical staff will kind of having the same mindset believing the user must do something wrong.I have the idea that some of the medical staff is being bribed ( maybe not to clearly visual) to promote certain brands. There is a lot of money going round .
Just recently a big tobacco company used AI to generate public opposition to EU rules. You have got to realize that medical manufactures dont have higher standards than other companies.

Could you explain further this part of your comment “I have the idea that some of the medical staff is being bribed ( maybe not to clearly visual) to promote certain brands. There is a lot of money going round .”

Do you have any evidence to back up your statement about medics being bribed. That is a pretty serious allegation.

Hello,
In my country there are VERY few suppliers and sometimes these companies are kind of related ( i found two using the same '' office building '' so to say. One big supplier even has a kind of shop inside the hospital. One of the medical staff told me that this supplier will give non biased information about the different brands they are selling. If there is money involved, a commercial company will always try to sell you the products which creates the highest profit. It will be exactly the same like buying a new washing machine.
My insulin pump is now more than 4 years old but i decided to wait for asking a new one ( completely paid my health insurance) because i wanted to wait for the Instinct to be available in my country so i could combine a new pump with the new sensor. Now the medical staff asked for the instinct because i was afraid to end up with Guardian for much longer after replacing the pump in February. I just told them if you will not supply me with the instinct ( when plenty available!) i will say bye bye to minimed.
Maybe bribed is a to big word ( i am not a native English speaker) but all people who work in '' an environment '' where there is a lot of innovation going on will be visited by people who are trying to promote their products.whether it is a cooling fluid, a coffee bean or a tranquilizer.
One big medical company was convicted in the USA for making false claims and offering kickbacks to physicians to make them use their products. Also paying doctors hundreds of millions $ to falsify articles.
