Never had almond butter, is it nice to eat on its own?

I like a teaspoon of it as a snack, I also mix it in yogurt sometimes or have it on a slice of low carb toast - I prefer it to peanut butter but think peanut butter and you can use it pretty much the same way

Lol! However, apart from not having one jar of almond butter in the house, let alone fifteen, I can't see it mentioned in the ingredients list.....only almond flour. What have I missed? :)

I must be grojng crazy - can't see any almond butter in the recipe either!

I don't know about using ground almonds to make butter but on a site called "detoxinista" there is a recommended method using whole almonds. Three cups in a processor takes about fifteen minutes to become butter. I haven't tried it yet.....

I believe so in the same way as you can make peanut butter, just leave it in a blender for a bit too long and butter is what you will get, no other additives needed!

Do the oils from the almonds themselves make it turn into butter? That's nuts (!)
