Gum problem

I have lost bone in gum
I am getting work done in June and a denture ..anyone got any advice

Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately higher sugar levels seem to exacerbate any sort of dental issues, so my advice would be to tighten your sugar levels as much as possible. (I fear going to the dentist more than a visit to my diabetic clinic:)).

What are your levels like at the moment and what sort of work are you having done? If implants then you definitely want to try to keep your levels down.

Good luck.

I understand the bone loss thing , it’s well known that my bs control was pants for years , I started losing my teeth about 20 years ago I remember the dentist describing it to me , he said if your body was the length of your tooth you would normally have bone up-to your chest , he told me mine was about up to my knees . Hence my teeth being loose. Almost all my lost teeth weren’t rotten , in fact I pulled avast majority out myself , I now have dentures , I was told many years ago I would lose all my teeth , I still have 7 of my own left and as I’ve improved my bs control the ones I have left are no longer loose. It was recommended to me to up my calcium intake it can only help I suppose ,

maybe try adding Vitamin K2 ... but I aam only guessing... high blood glucose is bad for alomost every disease one might catch
