Had my meds decreased and as expected my sugars have started to go up again, not massively but definitely on the up.
Anyway, when my sugars were low my gums stopped bleeding which had been a problem for about 12months before diagnosis. Now they've started again.
The other thing I've found is that I tend to find that I cry at times. Normally in relation to happy or sad things, but never did this before well not to this level.
Could high sugars affect my gums and also make me a bit more emotional? Or am I just an emotional wreck with gum disease? :)

Got my next hba1c in April, last one was 42, so dr halved gliclazide as an experiment.

Funny you should mention it about gums. Mine have been bleeding intermittently on brushing for years. Now that I'm trying to get BS down, they rarely bleed now. Also an abscess in my lower gum has receded. I didn't realise gums and sugars are linked. Are they?

About the emotional reactions, I can't say whether there is a link. I only know that I've run the gamut of emotions since diagnosis in January this year.

People that can't listen to other people's opinions.
People that can't say sorry.
My dentist gavee loads of details about gum disease and the links to diabetes.... Really cheesed me off.. My brothers always had the loveliest white fantastic teeth and gums and no diabetes. I got the T1 and the horrible teeth and gums... Always hated them. Always wanted them taken out and falsies.. But all dentists want to do is to preserve horrible teeth amd gums!!!
