Gutted

googlegoss, I see you are female! I find that my menstrual cycle affects my tolerance for carbs in the morning because of my dawn phemomenon, which is always at its worst around the time of my period. Have you considered that? I quickly saw the pattern in my numbers when I started testing. We are also a very similar age, and menopause may be affecting some of your numbers and carb tolerance.

Other than in cooking I can't abide tinned tomatoes. I add a few fresh ones to the pan when I have a fry up. i find the more something is processed, the higher my numbers go, especially at that time of the month.

You CAN'T have cooked brekky without mushgogs. But they have to be cooked like Paleo man would, grilled with Heinz tinned plum tomatos. Cooked just enough do the black juices stain the runny fried egg yolk when you dunk.

Had two sausage, one bacon and fried egg this morning but was really happy that my morning reading was 7.0. The lowest it has been so its definitely working. (Had two big glasses of red wine last night as well  )

Spiral, I will definitely keep an eye of on things, not actually in the menopause yet. Wish they'd hurry up and b*gger off though as sick to death of them. Keeping a food diary so will highlight these times to see how things change. Thanks for pointing it out to me though, probably wouldn't have considered it.
