Had a bad day yesterday

I started taking my gliclazide yesterday and it made me feel very ill. My sugar levels were 15.8 most of the day yesterday and I felt dizzy and nauseous. I'm hoping I have a better day today.

Oh my goodness!!! No wonder you feel poorly. *Hug* Have you tried reducing the amount of carbohydrate that you eat?
 
I only eat 30g of carbs a day dietitian was impressed by what I eat stuck to the same diet I had when I was pregnant with gestational diabetes x x
 
If you weren't on the gliclazide I'd suggest that you have a zero carb couple of days (not easy but it works) but I think that might be dangerous with the glic.

I think you need to get in touch with your dietition / DN for advice on this.

No improvement on my numbers still high. Rang doctors I'm to carry on taking my medication if my numbers still are high they will up my dose.
Since then I have developed horrible stomach pains.
