Had a fall today

RRB - sending you positive healing thoughts .

Hope your BS gets steadier (inflammation/bone fracture trauma,
shock to your system , pain and the stress,illness/sickness from the pain relief,)
LOTS there! - will ALL impact .
May take a bit of adjusting n tweaking things and couple of days to settle things down again .
Keep taking it steady n easier - as you can allow for .
Dont do TOO much and overdo things as you have been through it
lately .

Keep us posted on your improvement(s)
We love to know and care too . x
 
Just read the thread RRB. So sorry to read of your bad luck. I am going through the same thing with broken ankle so am nodding my head at everything you are saying. Am going to take the advice about reducing painkillers as I cannot seem to keep anything down the last 2 days.

Hope you are feeling better really soon xx

THANK YOU MRS B I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR POOR BROKEN ANKLE, OUCH. JUST PARACETAMOL IS WORKING MUCH BETTER THANKS, BUT ONLY TAKE IT IF NEEDED. HOW LONG AGO WAS YOUR BREAK? MINE IS A WEEK TODAY AND THE SWELLING ISN'T GOING DOWN AND STILL HAVE PAIN, BUT MANAGING TO DO BITS AND PIECES,.I HATE BEING IDLE LOL BUT BEING SENSIBLE.TOO WITH MY TEENAGERS HELP, BUT I THINK SHE IS GETTING A BIT FED UP NOW, OH DEAR WISHING YOU A SPEEDY AND HEALTHY RECOVERY X

BLESS YOU DAISY, THANK YOU SO MUCH.X I WILL TRY AND UPLOAD A PHOTO MY DD TOOK DAYS AGO, AND I ALSO RECIEVED CONSULTANTS LETTER YESTERDAY, NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING THOUGH, BUT TRYING TO BE POSITIVE TAKE CARE X
 
Fell off a rope swing on 5th August. Pain isn't too bad since surgery on Wednesday but still bad enough. Think I'm gonna end up back in hospital soon tho cos I can't stop being sick even moving isn't fun.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, HAND AREA IS STILL VERY SWOLLEN, I GO BACK TUESDAY MORNING 9.35 AM FOR 2ND APPT. AND PAIN CONTROL IS BETTER X

I have lovely photos courtesy of the paramedics but they'd make u sick and the mods would probably ban me if I posted them lol x

ERMMMM I DONT HAVE THE STOMACH FOR PARAMEDIC NASTIES, BUT I AM A MOD TOO, SO I WILL LEAVE IT UP TO YOUOR MAYBE MEMBERS COULD MESSAGE YOU FOR THE PHOTOGRAPIC EVIDENCE, A FUN MOMENT, TURNS TO CARNAGE FOR YOU, SORRY, MEANT TO ASK HOWS YOUR BS, ARE A TYPE 1 OR 2 MRS B X DO YOU HAVE ANY HELP AT HOME, HUBBY OR CHILDREN?

Your hand DOES look 'swollen'

THANKS ANNA, MR B CHECKED ME ON TUESDAY THE 5TH AND I RECEIVED A LETTER YESTERDAY WITH THIS, ( A COPY TO ME AND MY GP)..

'ON EXAMINATION TODAY, THERE IS STILL CONSIDERABLE SWELLING IN HAND, BUT HER CIRCULATION AND SENSATION IN FINGERS IS NORMAL.

GIVEN THE VERY GOOD REDUCTION, I WOULD BE INCLINED TO CONTINUE TREATING THIS IN PLASTER. THERE IS HOWEVER A RISK THAT THIS FRACTURE WILL COLLAPSE AND SHE WILL NEED CAREFUL FOLLOW -UP WITH SEQUENTIAL X -RAYS. I PLAN TO SEE HER IN 1 WEEKS TIME' ( TUES 12TH)
. CONSULTANT ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON.............. NOW THAT WAS A BIT OF A SHOCK

MY DD HAS TAKEN 2 MORE PHOTOS TONIGHT, SO WILL POST THESE. X

Agree it does look swollen, try and keep the arm in a sling to help reduce the swelling RRB.
 
Yep - elevate your casted(pot) arm on a few/couple of pillows or cushions
if you have enough of them ? whilst you sleep too .

Poor you - RRB
 
Your hand is extremely swollen, I'd be inclined to get that checked out in the morning.
 
OOOOH yes - it 'does' look more swollen up .
If its worse than this in the morning - either pop to GP's if nearer/easiest ?
or head back to fracture clinic ?
Get it checked and medical advice on the swelling .

DO let us know how things go too - wont you ?

Raise the sling up so that your hand is resting on your shoulder, this will help to reduce the swelling.
