...it came back 6.9mmol fasting and 10.5mmol after 2 hours.
I've been diagnosed prediabetic for 2 years now and view these results as a real wake up call to get my life in order and try to reduce the readings.
I'm a 38 year old HGV driver with a diet controlled type 2 Dad and a sadly gone type 2 maternal Grandad.
I stand at 6'2" with a 42" waist and weigh just over 16 stones.
My cholestrol has fallen from 7.0 to 6.0 from first diagnosed 12 months ago.
I'm conscious that I need to get fit and healthy and I'm determined to do so.
Does anybody have any inspirational stories of "turning it around" and reducing fasting readings within a fairly short period of time?
I've just recently done my push bike up and aim to get out and about on it in an effort to shift hopefully about 2 stones in weight.
Thanks for reading,
Paul.
P.S. I've posted in two seperate forum sections (i.e. prediabetes also) to generate as wide a response as poss. Thanks
