well done so far keep on fighting... :)

if you stay under 100 grams of carbs daily you´ll most likely achieve normal blood glucose levels... but then you have to take care of not taking too much insulin too... so that's maybe a bit difficult as long as you are insulin dependant.. but good luck with your fight against diabetes and heart condition.. do you move everyday too ? like long walks or get the pulse up for a while every day ..?

I'm sorry about your heart attack, Hope you are recovering well! Have you changed things to see such an improvement in bg and losing weight too?

I'm confused by your reply. When looking at Jackthehats profile it says he's on metformin, no mention of insulin at all. Also, the amount of carbs T2's can eat without spiking too high varies a lot from person to person. Without knowing anything about what he's been eating before, where does the 100 grams come from?

oh I only gave half an answer ... it seem many in here can get their blood glucose into a normal level if they stay under 100 grams of carbs in a day... well not all can of cause ...it also depends if one can in fact still produce enough insulin by oneself , but most type 2 do produce far too much..
my own blood glucose level would be normal if I had the character to stay under 100 grams of carbs in a day.. but I mostly can´t
