Thank you @noblehead and @novorapidboi26 . Thank you for your encouragement. I've been following LCHF diet for exactly 100 days (according to myfitnesspal).
@noblehead . Thank you. That really was a lovely post and much appreciated. @Bluetit1802 . I didn't realise that. Thank you for pointing that out.
So if I go under 42 next time maybe they will suggest I come off the metaformin.?
big well done Mo !! You should be proud! As for coming off metformin, I would say they may decide to leave you on it for a while to stabilise at least. I'm on forxiga, combined with lchf in 18 weeks I've reduced from hba1c of 61 to 38 ( amazingly non-diabetic level) I was expecting to be stopped my meds and was prepared to push to stay on for 3 months but surprisingly there was no question and I'm carrying on with it until my next hba1c in AprilSo if I go under 42 next time maybe they will suggest I come off the metaformin.?
I think it makes sense to stay on meds for now while still continuing this journey, still strictly lchf, wanting a bit more weight loss and keep levels down. Guess next hba1c in April could be the turning point with meds but if I feel I need it still I shall fight my corner, mainly as once I get to the point where I need to stop the weight loss I will be adding a little back to maintain-and wouldn't want the levels to start going up again!!Thanks for the information @Bluetit1802 and @kimbo1962 . wow Kimbo you did brilliantly!I must admit I'm in no rush to come off metaformin yet.
