Type 2
Hi. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 3 months ago. My hair is now falling out at an alarming rate. Anyone else had this problem.

I'm hoping that getting my blood sugar back under control will help. In the meantime, try the Batiste dry shampoos. They do loads of different smelly ones, but they also do three coloured ones. Blond, brunette and dark. I have dark hair so I use the brunette one. It makes even newly washed hair feel a bit thicker and easier to do something with, and the colour in it slightly spray paints your scalp (nothing scary, promise) so the thinning is disguised. My hair loss has been really upsetting me. I didn't even want to leave the house. This helps.

Are you sure you're type 2 and not missed diagnosed type1? I lost tons of hair in the interum. Are you losing weight too? How are your blood sugars.

Unfortunately, mine all went in my early 20s and haven't seen site of it for 34 years.

But for sudden onset symptoms like this it must be quite frightening. I really feel for you!
