Hair loss

Anyone else out there suffered with hair loss as a result of their diabetes?

Mine is coming out on a regular basis, my hair used to be really think and full of life, now it's so thin and listless.

Just wondered if anyone had any good ideas?

Hi.
We have had a few threads here about Hair Loss and related things.

Not everything is Diabetes related........here is a link to a previous thread where it transpired that the hair problem was due to shampoo/conditioner. Stress too can be a cause, especially if you are getting more worried.

Try doing a search here for the other threads where hair loss is also mentioned.

Discuss with your GP if there is no improvement.
 
Do you have any other medications?

I have rheumatois arthritis and was put on a medication called Methotrexate. Of the many and vile side effects that drug had on me, hair loss was by far the most severe.

As mentioned by others here, causes can be many and varied.
