Sid Bonkers said:As for being low fat, it is a diet book and no one has ever lost weight by eating loads of fat, fat as I'm sure you know Hana has 9 calories per gram, more calories in fact than any other food group and thats why diet books tend to be low fat.

The only weigh to lose weight is to cut calories or by exercising more and as exercising burns relatively few calories the only real way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories whether you eat low carb or not, if you eat more calories you will not lose weight, no one has ever lost weight by increasing their calorific intake.
Tubsolard said:That's fine Sid.Carb reduction with increased dietary fat intake has worked for me and many others and I will continue with it and hope you will respect my choice of regime just as I respect your choice too.I'm sure you wasn't implying that my weight loss on LCHF was fabricated in any way. 8)
Source please as I dont beleive this is true well not in the way you are implying it to be. Weight loss can not happen without calorie reduction, so for someone eating nothing but fat to lose weight they must have eaten fewer calorieshanadr said:FYI
Sid
A study was done a while back, where a group of people ate nothing but fat and lost weight FAST. as soon as a bit of carb was added, the weightloss stopped.
Would this be the section of his book that has been removed since the first edition? The section that was proved to be incorrect?hanadr said:If you read Gary Taubes, he quotes loads of evidence that calories are not the key.
Good for you Hanahanadr said:Not only do i know that fats are approximately 9cal per gram and carbs and proteins are approx 4cal per gram, but I even know what a calorie is and the difference between a calorie and a Calorie.
