Halloumi chips

I spotted these on the menu for a local hotel. I'm going to try to make some at home. I think it's just a matter of cutting a block of halloumi into chunky chip-sized pieces and shallow frying until they are crispy and golden. That'll stop me feeling deprived.

Yep I have made them a couple of times.. really nice and yummy.. they brown quite quickly once they heat up so watch out for burning.
 
If they taste like saganaki they will be lovely. I coat the cheese in ground almonds.
Ooh @carol43 that's something to try. I bought chilli halloumi by mistake last week so I am looking forward to trying chips.
