28th Feb 1972, but that's the day I was admitted (I was in for 2weeks).
I remember because the doctor asked me on 29th Feb if anyone had proposed to me as it was a leap-year (I was only 14).Etched in your memory Robert.
Lol. Your diagnosis period sounds a lot like mine. I was displaying symptoms for a year, and as a thirteen year old in a ward full of old people, got very bored. I particularly remember going for a walk when the consultant was late and missing his visit...21st April 2009, had just gotten back from holiday in South Africa.
Never had a honeymoon period as I was symptomatic to a greater or lesser degree for more than a year.
Was released from hospital (Addenbrookes) on 23rd, to be honest I think they got sick of me wandering off as I was on Diabetic ward and everyone there seemed to be having something or other chopped off. It was lovely outside so I kept going for walks to get fresh air.
Yup, it all seemed to dreary on the ward and it was lovely outside.Lol. Your diagnosis period sounds a lot like mine.
