I was just wondering whether any of you have tried a seed bar as a snack and what was the result. I have been trying 9bar Original and it seems that it is agreeing with my blood sugars but it seems it has carbohydrates and proteins in it and different fats like monounsaturates and polyunsaturates and even saturates. I am not on a low carb diet due to being pregnant but when I take this and measured my blood repeatedly to see what is happening I seem to get good results. In fact so good that I am finding it difficult to believe it and that is why I thought I see if anybody else has tried this and what was their results after ? Amazingly the company that produces it declared that it was not for diabetics apparently! Very confusing!

Hey Foxy. The only thing I'm wondering is how much fat is in the bar -you mention quite a lot - and when you tested.

Nutrition information.
Per Bar.

Cal...........277
Protein......9.2g
Carbs........14.6g
Fibre........2.6g
Fat..........20.25g

Can't provide a link as it is from a sales site. Google for more info........

I experimented with some 'fingers' of sesame seeds and hazelnuts in honey bars you get in Sainsburys. They're cheap, like 49p and don't seem to have much effect on my blood sugar level.
