Has anyone been given Ozempic to lose weight and get their sugars under control?

Hello, friends. My name is Paul I live and work in the UAE but I was born and raised in England, Birmingham. I came back from my first year away to find my GP had given me an Ozempic prescription. I tried it, but I did not react well to it, but in many ways it worked. I definitely ate less as it surpressed my appetite significantly, but along with that, anything that was in my system came out, and not in a pleasant way. By the time the Ozempic medicine left my system, which was about a week and a half, I had lost 5kg (11lb/ just under a stone). I am considered obese based on my bmi. I am a devote christian and so attend church every week. My church colleagues saw a significant change in my body and commented that they could see the weight loss.

Has anybody else been offered this medicine? Did you take it? If not why? If you did how was it for you. What I didn't check was my sugar at that time, (I was so ill my sugar levels were not on my mind at that time). Did your sugar levels improve?

I'd love to hear from you if this relates to you in anyway.

Not me, but I've read other people's experiences with it and I'm sure some of them will post here soon. The gastric issues seem to be quite common and, for some, force them to stop the drug.

I was on Ozempic, I lost weight although I didn’t lose my appetite and my sugars came down to pre diabetic levels. Great but I couldn’t tolerate the random sickness it brought and the feeling of doom in my stomach. As soon as I come off it the weight when back on. I’ve tried the tablet form and going onto the second strength started the sickness so I stopped taking them.
