I still eat a few squares of 85% now and then without problems. There are many foods that have a much greater affect on my blood sugar than chocolate. My biggest problem foods are cereal and pizzahmmm....instead of two slices of pizza, maybe one plus a little chocolate and zero cereal.

Wonderful Debbie thank you for the 'heads up' on the website
I used to love chocolate - in fact no let me revise that - I still do - I just have to accept it is something else now 'verboten' in my life. I'm sure at some point I will probably succumb, but currently would be too terrified to even consider it. I just have to stand in queues at check outs now desperately trying to avert my gaze! ..... or use pay at the pump at petrol stations so I don't have to go in!
Sadly I have never liked dark chocolate, and always gave them away if they were in s box / pick and mix etc - so have no real alternative!
@MichaelaWalker ditto - my dilemma exactly - except delete apple pie, enter Ice Cream!Since diagnosis of Type 2 in February I have not eaten any chocolate, sweets, biscuits and only a tiny slither of birthday cake. Yes I miss it but if I had it would want more. Dark chocolate upsets my stomach. I really miss apple pie and custard. I am paranoid about sugars now and carbs.
I have a craving for chocolate every day. I sometimes eat it more than once a day. Has anyone stopped eating it altogether?
