Has anyone had symptoms with prediabetes?

Just wondering because my coworker was having all the symptoms (peeing, thirst, tired) and her fasting BS was only slightly elevated.
 
Yes.
I was symptomatic, and had been for a year or so, while my fasting BG never went above 6. My HbA1c was 46 so I got to do the OGTT test and was diagnosed diabetic with a result of 14 after two hours.
 
Thanks...what is 46 A1C equivalent to in BS numbers?
 
No I was prediabetic for a few years but never had any symptoms of diabetes nor did I have any when I was finally diagnosed T2
