Has your Libre sensor failured?

I started on the Libre in September and since then have had 4 sensor failures including 2 in the last 2 weeks with Er 3,373,I and Er3,365,I errors. I'm not including sensors coming off, just stopping working with "Try scanning again in 10 mins" messages.

Abbott were very good in replacing them promptly but couldn’t give me a clear indication of why it might have happened or what I might do to reduce the risk of it happening again.

So I'm wondering, am I unlucky or are 4 sensor failures in 9 months typical?

Has this happened to you?

Hi @andy2010 I think you are just unlucky. When you think of the quantities of Libres Abbotts produce daily the failures are a very small percentage. My son use to work for Abbotts and then they were making 60k a day!!

Been using them for 6 months and only had one failure, with similar error (try again in 10 minutes and reading lower than normal). However this sensor I placed under my arm nearer the top instead of the back of the arm, and when I removed it, I found it was almost on top of a hair that was growing, so most likely affected by that. Not had any other issues with it. So make sure you don't have a hair where the needle will go even if you shave the area.

Agree with unlucky, I used the libre for about 18 months or so and had 4 failures but for different reasons, mostly the adhesive, as long as they replace them which they are normally good at doing then you should be ok.
