Have A Bath

Not to mention the dietary "advice" which followed in the article. Right! That's it, instead of a 40min walk I'm having a 40min bath followed by wholemeal toast - not!

I't's not advice I intend following either. I used to enjoy a nice hot bath but as a myasthenic it could easily put me in hospital. Any way my regular staggering lurching walks I enjoy too much to discontinue though that can be a bit risky for me too but if I am care full I find it makes me feel better and reduces stress and gets me out of the house.

A film about the "benefits" of a bath for Type 2's is within Trust Me, I'm a Doctor (Summer Special 2016) on iPlayer, which Michael Mosley conducted an experiment on. Personally I often do the HiiT static cycle workout which is just 7.5 minutes and Michael Mosley demonstrated in an earlier episode (3 minutes medium, 30 seconds flat out, 1 minute medium, 30 seconds flat out, 1 minute medium, 30 seconds flat out, 1 minute medium). When I was ignorant of the low carb approach, this would take an 8.5 bgl into the low 5's or high 4's for me.

We do not have a bath tub only a shower cubicle installed, I cannot see the hot water lasting more than ten minutes in that.

Last bath I had was in a hotel in Singapore in 1986, filled it up to the brim and had a bit of a soak after a lengthy flight from the UK.

I will still ride my bike every day to try and keep fit.

Just managed to haul my sorry a**e out of a pretty long hot bath after just under 2 hours in it.... last 15 were with the cold tap on to chill myself down.... it's where I get some quality reading done.... pulp fiction that is though...
toast now: no chance, mouth full of blueberries...
Night all.

I must have been pretty fit when I was younger as was always in hot water.

Saw that as well.

I don't recall an explanation as to why; presumably it tones up the circulation and makes it easier to process glucose?

I am a hot bath person and I have not noticed a change. But I will keep at the hot baths . . . just in case. Oh and because I stink of pond water!

I enjoy a nice relax in he bath but 40 min is stretching it .A cycle down to the lake and a bit of fishing more my order of thinking

Wholemeal is a description of unrefined wheat flour. We have bread sold pre-packaged and pre-sliced here which is supposed to be better for you because the flour hadn't been bleached to make white bread. It's still high in carbs
