Have to get a repeated blood test from doctor

It was bought up in a routine blood test that the diabieties was borderline.Now they want to reoeat it. I have a moniter, accu check, because my husband wants to use it, there is diabeities in his family, i have been checking my gusoce now. my readings are 6.6 mmol in morning, not eaten for 10 hours, then 7.1 after eating, is that ok.

It does look like you may be in the pre-diabetes stage (borderline) but wait for your repeat blood test before worrying. I expect it will be an HbA1c test, which averages your levels over the previous 2 to 3 months. That will be a much better guide than tests taken on your own meter. let us know how you get on, and good luck.

The HBa1C is a good overall test. If you are testing with the meter test 2 hours after a meal and just before as well if you can afford the strips. Morning fasting tests aren't of great value due to overnight liver dumps
