Mine was last week, when I put my iPhone and bank card in the washing machine!
They washed well and by some miracle, they are both working!

I once laundered a student's flash drive, containing about 2 year's worth of undergraduate notes and essays. It was... traumatic for me.

But it survived the experience, and I never had to admit my crime.

And, my goodness, I never made that mistake again!
