Did you find everything was simple?
If you had problems, how did you go about resolving them?
Have you had your license revoked at any point?

I'm type 2 and not on any Blood Glucose reducing medication so don't have to notify them.
Interestingly, i don't have to notify my car insurance either as they only want to know about conditions I have to notify the DVLA about. 8)
Judging by the numerous discussions I've read about DVLA I'm considering myself lucky - loosing my license would be a serious lifestyle hampering experience!

If you're a type 2 just on Metformin then you don't need to notify DVLA.
Now breath, and relax.
You only have to notify DVLA if you are on medication that can cause hypoglycaemia - Metformin is not classed as a medication that can do that.
