Hi, I've been type 2 for just over a year and have been taking both Metformin (slow--release) and Glicazide (modified release) for 6 months. I have been checking my blood sugars as they were high (27.2) when I first started. They are now reaching around 13 -20 during the day which is still too high but are low in the morning (3.9 today). The Doc suggested having supper of wholemeal bread and jam, so I have been doing that but it doesn't seem to be making a difference. Has anyone got any ideas, I feel like I've got nowhere this past year, blood sugars still too high through the day and the only difference is the early morning low (which is not good)...
