I have managed to come off my insulin completely (apart from a couple of doses over xmas) and am due my hba1c soon. Will I still be able to have 6 monthly hba1c's even though I am in no medication for diabetes?

thanks. I currently have my Hba1c every 6 months so will ask about going every 3 months.

I am only allowed an HbA1c once a year in the month of my birthday.

Im allowed one free test a year in Feb and I have to pay $15 each for the other 3. @zand do they not even allow you to pop in with nurse just for a blood test, it seems a bit draconian.

I have the full works plus HbA1c every 6 months even though my HbA1c is stable in the low pre-diabetic range, and I'm not on any meds. I only see the nurse for a review once a year though.

Same here although I also see the nurse every 6 months - next check booked in for first week in Feb
